Bucket List! My ’30 Before 30′ – Are They Similar To Yours?!

The whole bucket list debate came up recently at a friend’s birthday and it got me thinking about what sort of things I’d put on my bucket list and have I done anything with my life that I may have put on a list if I had made one 10 years ago.

One thing I have done which sticks out vividly is visiting New York. I was in the queue at uni buying my daily supply of Blue Ribbon’s back in 2009 and I swore to myself that I would make it to New York. Not only would I make it there but I would do something meaningful. I didn’t know what and I didn’t know how, I just knew that I would. A year later I was on a plane heading to JFK to coach sport to children all over the East coast. After a few days training it was July 4th and I had the pleasure of being in Manhattan, watching the fireworks over the Hudson River. It’s a moment I’ll never forget and now I’ve been to New York (Manhattan and many other areas) several times. It almost became my second home in 2012.

Anyway, over the last two or so years, I’ve very much become the type of person who doesn’t want to regret anything. I want to learn things that can’t be taught in the classroom,

Here is my ’30 before 30’ list – in no particular order. That would be stress.

  1. Gamble in Vegas. I’ve been, I actually spent my 21st there but I was a wet lettuce crying over my ex the whole.damn.time.
  2. Meet the man who I’ll want to marry. You can apply via my contact page or dropping a comment below
  3. Be in the best shape of my life.
  4. Quit sugar. That stuff is the bane of my life.
  5. Save money.
  6. Start a Business (Go self employed with Laura-Natalie).
  7. Visit Mauritius.
  8. Learn web design.
  9. Night out in Newcastle (lol, don’t ask).
  10. Centre Parcs with the gang over a cold Christmas weekend.
  11. Skydive.
  12.  Learn French. Not fluently, that would take me 30 years.
  13. Become famous for 15 minutes by doing something utterly stupid but keeping my dignity and self respect in tact.
  14. Appear on Big Brother (could count towards no.13 I suppose).
  15. Visit a third world country and help towards a local project.
  16. Read every Jackie Collins novel to date.
  17. Go to a home game with my dad and brothers (or brother*; one of them can’t even spell football let alone watch it or even know who we support).
  18. Learn to cook.
  19. Have my first child.
  20. Donate £1000 to a chosen charity.
  21. Write poetry.
  22. Road trip around Europe with my babes.
  23. Learn my rights (or learn the loopholes) to get out of rubbish parking tickets or any money related predicament.
  24. Reach 1k gang on Twitter. I’m laughing but I’m being serious.
  25. Say yes for an entire week.
  26. Dine in a Michelin star restaurant.
  27. Complete a full sleeve.
  28. Visit Paris.
  29. Smoke in Amsterdam. I don’t even smoke LOL but it seems cool. I’m in.
  30. Truly love myself.

Good or nah?

Have you guys completed any of the 30 things on my list? If so which ones?! and when!? Have I missed any cliché or obvious ones which every person should have on their list? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

    • I’ve never considered a bungee jump – I think that’s something I’d be too scared to do seeing as I cant swim and hate open water lol the thought of crashing into the sea is not ideal haha. Where would you want to do that?
